Andrew Hazlett is a writer and recent transplant to Seattle from Baltimore. His feature writing, book reviews, and essays have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Bulwark, Reason, Baltimore Magazine, WETA’s Book Studio, Detroit News, Society, PennUnion, The New Democrat, Middletown Press, Diversity & Division, and elsewhere. He has taught writing at the Community College of Baltimore County. His professional history includes work in higher education, public policy, government, and social innovation. Andrew holds an M.F.A. in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College. He holds an M.A. in Writing from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Philosophy from Wesleyan University. Andrew is also a novice practitioner of greenwoodworking.
